OPTIWAVE 1500 Range

The OPTIWAVE 1500 range is a family of 80 GHz FMCW radar level transmitters for basic applications across liquids, slurries and solids. Models offer PVDF Lens antennas, IP68-rated options, Bluetooth® commissioning, HART®, and OPTICHECK diagnostics. Measuring ranges span from 10 m and 15 m up to 30 m, covering tanks, basins, silos, stockpiles and open-channel flow.

Range Models

  • OPTIWAVE 1520 Liquids in tanks, (waste)water basins and pumping stations; IP68 version available; up to 10 m.

  • OPTIWAVE 1530
 Solids, minerals and powders in silos, stockpiles, crushers, conveyor belts; IP68 version; up to 15 m.

  • OPTIWAVE 1540
 Liquid chemicals and open-channel flow; can act as a flow transmitter; up to 15 m with high accuracy.

  • OPTIWAVE 1560
 Liquids and solids in narrow tanks with internal obstructions; longer range up to 30 m; IP68 version.

  • 80 GHz radar (FMCW) with non-contact continuous level measurement
  • PVDF Lens antenna designs (flush-mounted or concave, model-dependent)
  • IP68 waterproof versions available (model-dependent)
  • Bluetooth® commissioning via OPTICHECK Level Mobile; HART® supported
  • OPTICHECK technology built-in for device diagnostics and on-site verification
  • TBM (Tank Bottom Management) algorithms for reliable measurement even in empty tanks
